Ashby Logs were an existing client of CloudyGroup who came to CloudyCreative looking for a fully-functioning e-commerce website for a new area of their business. They required this new sales platform to be produced quickly as the nature of the business was seasonal, so required a quick turnaround from initial planning to full launch stage. With complex elements to the e-commerce website required including tax variation and scaled delivery rates based on geographic locations, as well as a three-week turnaround time, CloudyCreative had to pull out all the stops to deliver this project.
Within the three-week deadline, we were delighted to be able to launch the website and see the sales start to come in. We were also able to delivery training to the marketing staff at Ashby Logs to ensure that they could add/remove products, update availability and make amendments though the content management system as required. Another great success for everyone involved on the project!
One of the most exciting assignments we have for new businesses is the task of logo design. Our graphic designers are always so excited to be able to create a logo design that will represent the business and everything they stand for. Front the choice of font to the use of colour and shape, logo design can be a make or break point for any brand, so the stakes are always high in this crucial part of the process. For Ashby Logs, our designers worked closely with the client to develop this logo which incorporates the name of the business along with the emblems of leaves and logs, representing the natural products, and the flame shape reflected in the “a” as a nod to the concept of fire. The soft greens chosen, along with the lowercase font, give the impression of nature as well as trustworthiness of brand. Well done team!
Within the three-week deadline for the e-commerce site was the important task of product photography, so that each individual product on the website had an image associated with in. This task fell to our in-house photographer and Creative Director, Martyn, who was able to spend a day with the client photographing each product and then editing each image to show the products in the best light. We find that imagery is crucial to the success of e-commerce website, as product photography can give potential customers a real insight to the product they are choosing and can help returning customers quickly find the same product again. Having an in-house professional photographer is a real asset for CloudyCreative as we are able to offer this service along with the build of an e-commerce website.
